The Best Medicine is a comedy lecture with a difference, combining sketches, songs, facts and plenty of laughs to take a light-hearted look at the health and wellbeing of the region.

Is there something in the water in the North West?

How healthy are we really? And what does the average North West lifestyle tell us about the way we live, eat, move and generally get on with things?
The Best Medicine is a comedy lecture with a difference, combining sketches, songs, facts and plenty of laughs to take a light-hearted look at the health and wellbeing of the region.

Hosted by two presenters, with a guest comedian and health expert, the show explores everything from the legendary Ulster fry and our daily habits to the question of whether the average citizen could actually run up and down Shipquay Street for a laugh.

Inspired by shows such as The Mark Steel Lectures and The Unbelievable Truth, this is health information without the doctor's note — a funny, fascinating and occasionally alarming look at how we're doing around here… and even a bit around there.

Expect surprising local facts, questionable lifestyle choices, original comedy and information you probably didn't know you needed.

Come along and find out: are we as healthy as we think we are?

AGE RANGE: Suitable for ages 15+
