Aodhan McKinley

My name is Aodhan McKinley from Belfast and my angling journey began at  very young age when I was first introduced into fly dressing and fishing by my late father. Since then I continued to fish for both Trout and Dollaghan, but my main passion is tying salmon flies and chasing silver all over Ireland, mostly around the River Mourne and Foyle system, and the smaller rivers in Donegal. I created a fly called the Spectrum Shrimp during lockdown and it has proved a successful and popular pattern.

Interested in all aspects of fly tying, I also dye capes in a range of colours through my brand name Spectrum Capes and have sent capes both locally and worldwide
