Strabane Leisure Centre

The new proposed Strabane Leisure Centre is part of the Strabane Town Centre Regeneration Programme (City Deal/IFF).

The Strabane Leisure project represents Council's contribution to the broader Canal Basin redevelopment. It is a vital investment in community wellbeing and urban renewal. As a modern replacement for the aging Riversdale Leisure Centre, it will provide state-of-the-art wet and dry side facilities, with a strong focus on sustainability and physical activity. 

The central location of the new leisure centre within the canal basin area is a major benefit, as it will be more accessible to the local community, within walking distance of most of the town and connected to the existing greenway network. By being co-located with the new health hub and college campus, it will create a vibrant and integrated public services hub, serving as a catalyst for economic growth and encouraging healthier, more active lifestyles for all residents.
