Native of Omagh Co Tyrone who has been tying flies since 1995. Over the years I have tied all sorts of flies but these days I mainly concentrate of Salmon flies for our local foyle system and I supply a few travel companies with flies for their clients who are jetting off to destinations ranging from the Kola peninsula to Tierra Del Fuego.

I started an Instagram a few years ago(Armstrong.salmon.flies) for fun and to document the flies that I am tying and I have garnered much more attention that I expected. I am also an occasional contributor to Trout and Salmon and Fly fishing and Fly Tying Magazines.  At the Melvin show I will mostly be tying patterns for the local rivers.
