The LDP Local Policies Plan Call For Sites consultation is now open. Please see the documents below and link to online Response Form.
This is an opportunity for members of the public, business operators, developers and landowners to get involved in the second and final part of the LDP, the Local Policies Plan (LPP) which will build on the adopted LDP Plan Strategy (July 2025).
As part of the evidence gathering for the LPP, the Council is undertaking this Call For Sites (CFS) exercise, primarily in relation to identifying housing and economic development land in the District’s 47 designated settlements, as well as Development Opportunity Sites within the City / Town centres. Proposed sites should be suitable for these uses and fully accord with the LDP Plan Strategy, especially polices within Chapters 9, 10 & 16.
The CFS consultation will run for approximately 14 weeks, from 27th April to 31st July 2026. Submissions will be acknowledged within one week. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Drop-in sessions with the LDP team are available on the following dates, times and venues for advice on filling in the form and to answer queries. There will also be an online guidance session for Planning Agents, details to follow.
