Derry City & Strabane District Council has prepared a series of Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) documents, to support the implementation of the Council’s Local Development Plan (LDP 2032, LDP Plan Strategy was adopted in July 2025). All the Draft SPG documents were subject to public consultation, and they are to be used as ‘material considerations’ in the determination of Planning applications.

- SPG-DMAN-4 Restaurants, Cafés, Fast Food Outlets, Final July 2026
- SPG-DMAN-5 Taxi Offices, Final July 2026
- SPG-DMAN-13 Childcare, Crèches, etc, Final July 2026
- SPG-A Guide to Your Home and Planning Permission, Final July 2026
The following SPG documents remain in Draft form, but they can now be given a certain weight as ‘material considerations’ in the determination of Planning applications. They will be finalised in due course – taking account of any comments received, over the coming months:
