Positive Ageing Month 2026
Derry City & Strabane District Council, in partnership with the Public Health Agency, is gearing up for an inspiring and action packed Positive Ageing Month this October and we want you to be part of it!
Positive Ageing Month is our annual celebration of older people across the City and District, shining a spotlight on wellbeing, connection, creativity, and community spirit. This year, we’re building our most vibrant and inclusive programme yet, and we’re inviting groups, organisations, and individuals to help shape it.
Whether you’d like to host an activity, collaborate with others, or promote an existing event, we’d love to showcase your contribution. Sessions focused on older people or intergenerational engagement are especially welcome. Your event could feature in our widely distributed Positive Ageing Month brochure, reaching audiences across Derry and Strabane.
