Mayor-Rox invites competitors of all abilities to take part in the district’s first ever HYROX simulation event on Saturday 30th May 2026 at Melvin Sports Complex.
This all-day, chip-timed fitness competition combines running and functional workout stations in a structured race format. Participants can compete individually or as part of a relay team, making it accessible to both seasoned athletes and first-time competitors.
Mayor-Rox is a fundraising event in support of the Mayor’s chosen charities. A minimum donation of £50 applies to all entrants, with the opportunity to raise additional sponsorship.
Further details, including start times, category allocations, safety guidance and event briefings, will be shared with registered participants closer to the event date.

| Ticket Type | Ticket Description |
| Individual Entry | Designed for competitors who wish to complete the full HYROX simulation solo. Suitable for individuals with a good level of fitness and experience in running and functional training. Min age: 16+ (under 18s require parental consent). |
| Doubles: Male/Female/Mixed |
Participants share the running and workout stations between two team members. Ideal for those who want to compete competitively while dividing the workload. |
| 4 Person Relay Team | A more accessible team option where the workload is shared across four participants. Suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. |
| Half - Rox |
Half Rox is a more accessible version of the full race, following the exact same run + workout station format — just at half the distance and repetitions. Think 500m runs instead of 1km, 50 wall balls instead of 100, and all other stations reduced by half. It’s perfect for athletes new to the format or anyone wanting a tough but manageable challenge. |
