The Admin Support Academy will offer residents of DCSDC a chance to avail of employment opportunities within the Admin and Business sector. Entering the Admin and Business sector provides an opportunity for progression to supervisory/management careers.
Participants on this programme will receive wrap around support in:
- Personal support
- Building on communication skills, confidence, team work etc.
- Training, awareness and qualifications:
- Administration and ICT Skills
- Understanding how a business is run, different roles and responsibilities
- Employment support
- Employability skills, job maintenance, resilience
- Entering a suitable placement or work trial to gain practical experience on the job
- Locating and applying for job opportunities, understanding job descriptions, completing applications, interview techniques
- Etc.
You are eligible for this programme if you:
- Are out of work and willing to start employment.
- Are of a working age and a resident of DCSDC
- Have no, or low qualifications
- Have the right to work in the UK (evidence must be provided to DSLMP)
- Show commitment to fully participating in the programme, complete all necessary paperwork (registration, evaluation, follow up forms), and will accept post programme support and mentoring
- Have the time available to attend all necessary training without exception
- Are not participating in any other initiative that would exclude them from a DSLMP Programme (time, commitment, etc.)
